Stress Engineering Services’s (SES) product development process is based on the idea of real metrics driving real design, informed by real world constraints. As such, it is appropriate that our in-house rapid prototyping facility focuses on the production of conceptual models in real materials to assess real ergonomic and functional performance.
There is no replacement for a physical example of a concept to enhance its development. Our rapid prototyping facility is capable of quickly producing models in wax, clay, foam and plastics to inexpensively determine early concept directions for aesthetic and ergonomic performance.
As a product develops at SES, we use the same rapid prototyping facility to produce high fidelity, functioning models in real materials to assess the real world performance of parts before the high cost of tooling.
